The 30 Day Blog Challenge

Infopreneurs wrongly assume that the only way to profit from information marketing is through writing a book and selling it. While it’s a good idea to write a book, it certainly isn’t the only way to profit as an infopreneur.
Remember, an infopreneur is someone who cares enough to identify a problem to solve, shares the solution from a wealth of rich experience and expertise, and grows by being compensated fairly in proportion to the value added to a prospect’s life.
A book is only one way to deliver such value. Another is through writing informative articles and reports. And a very effective alternative is to publish a blog.
Starting a Blog
To someone new to blogging, starting a blog can appear scary, intimidating and daunting. It’s none of these. In fact, it’s as easy as falling off a log!
An absolutely simple way anyone (even with zero technical knowledge) can get started is through using a service like Blogger.com or WordPress.com to set up an account. Within 5 minutes, with point and click easy, you can have your first blog up and running.
If you’re a little more tech savvy and are familiar with the need to own your domain and website, then you could set up a WordPress blog on your hosting account. Blogging software has made this simple through cpanel installation scripts, so you can create a blog in 30 minutes – or less.
The bigger challenge is creating content for your blog and updating it regularly on a schedule.
Enter The Blog Challenge
This is my latest project, which will be active through January 2012. The idea is to encourage new bloggers and infopreneurs to develop the discipline and commitment necessary to update a blog daily for 30 days.
There are bloggers who do this consistently over many years. And the biggest mistake new entrants into the blogosphere make is to believe that it is easy. Sooner or later, they run out of steam – and simply give up.
The 30 Day Blog Challenge is an effort to show you just what it takes to update your blog daily for a month. You’ll learn how much planning and effort goes into it. That will help you make realistic projections about blogging, and decide upon your eventual frequency and style of blogging.
As an infopreneur, your primary responsibility is to deliver value. You cannot blindly stick to a publishing schedule, putting out junk just because it fits your timetable. That’s the fastest way to repel your audience.
Doing this 30 day challenge will not only give your blog a kickstart, but will also help you decide upon the optimal frequency to publish to your blog on a regular basis. At the same time, it will help prove to yourself that your dreams of becoming a profitable and successful blogger are more than mere wishes.
Anyone who can complete the challenge and post 30 valuable messages to a blog in a month has what it takes to become a blogging infopreneur. And to push you to break through this level, I’m throwing in many incentives and giving participants gifts and guidance.
